Henry’s has added a diabolo to their collection: the all-new Henry’s Vision diabolo. Reportedly, it will be the same diameter of the Circus diabolo, but wider and lighter. At 230 grams, it sounds promising for those put off by the original stock 300g Circuses.
They won’t be available until April, but do let us know what it plays like when you’ve had the chance of giving it a try.

Ever felt like the moment you throw your sticks in a bag, they instantly form a horrific knotted mess? Heaven forbid you throw 2 sets of sticks in together. Now there’s proof. Not only that, but the probability of a knot forming peaks at about 2m in string length – not that far off many diabolo strings. Interesting paper – it even won the lg (read:parody) Nobel Prize in 2008. [via DaringFireball]

Quick switching from bearing to fixed axles; cheap switchable cup shells; the trusted quality of Duncan; and inexpensive distribution thanks to a large company ($25-30 USD?): this diabolo has a lot going for it.
At this point we’re going by a prototype photo and hints by Kyo who played a large part in the design. Suggested release is next month.
